Pastor Lee Jaerock a 75-years old South Korean cult leader was on Thursday convicted of multiple rape of eight female followers.
Pastor Jaerock is said to have set up the Manmin Central Church with just 12 followers in 1982.
His church has grown to 130,000 members, with a spotlight-filled auditorium, sprawling headquarters, and a website replete with claims of miracle cures.
Earlier this year, three followers in shocking revelation said each of them had been summoned by Mr Jaerock to an apartment where he forced them to have sex.

The court found out that through his sermons the accused indirectly or directly suggested he is the holy spirit, deifying himself, raped and molested his followers “tens of times” over a long period.
The victims stated that they were unable turn him down since he was more than a king and God.
