Police Launches a Manhunt in Nandi Following a Raid on Police Station while Officers were Watching a Football Match

Thieves broke into the armory of Kamoron Kibwareng sub location police station in nandi south on Tuesday night and stole all the riffles while police officers were outside the station watching a football match.

Police in Nandi county have launched a manhunt for thieves who raided Kobujoi Police Station and took away all bullets and firearms.

The thieves are reported to have walked into the station when officers manning the station were out watching a football match at a nearby trading centre.

Police OB reports indicates that all the officers left the station and went to watch UEFA football match at a nearby trading centre and on returning to the post, they noticed the room of the officer in charge which is also used as an armoury in which the steel box is kept was broken and three rifles and 20 rounds of ammunition missing.

Two other magazines with 17 and 20 rounds were left untouched.

Local authorities led by officer commanding Nandi South police division visited the crime and mobilized police officers to swing into action.

The earch for the suspects and recovery of the missing firearms is underway.
