Trans Nzoia County CECs signs a one year performance contract

Ten Trans Nzoia County Executive Committee Members (CECM) have committed themselves to offer results based service delivery.

On Wednesday they signed a one year performance contract with the County government.


The ten CECs pledged to ensure that public offices are well managed and are cost effective in delivering quality service to the public.

This took place in an auspicious occasion that was attended by H.E. Governor Patrick Khaemba and his deputy Dr. Stanley Tarus.

The performance contract marks the basis for ensuring that efficient and effective services are delivered to Trans Nzoia residents.

The CECMs were called upon to enhance innovativeness and adaptability of public services to the needs under their capacity.


Governor Khaemba challenged the county executives to deliver their targets in real time adding that the contracts were only binding based on their agreed upon deliveries.

“Performance contracts will also  be cascaded down to Chief Officers, directors and further downwards to officers of lower cadres”, he stated.

On his part, DG Dr. Tarus noted the need to effectively utilize time citing that the  relationship between end results and amount of time spent.

The deputy governor reiterated the need to provide effective and efficient services to the clients of the county government saying they deserve to be given the first priority.
